In the story Neuromancer the main character is a man named Case. He is 24 but the book doesn't really mention much more of his personal description. In the beginning he does not have a general job or occupation but it says he used to be a thief in a place called the matrix. Eventually he made a mistake that ruined his thieving life. He stole from his bosses. Now he has no job, no money, and he has none of his origanal skill that he used to steal items in the first place. He believes that he can find what he needs to get his ability back as he searches through the city of Japan.
